Removable Partial Dentures


There are a number of materials available that make partial dentures more comfortable and esthetic. Two of the flexible materials that Chicago dentist Dr. Alfe utilizes are Valplast® and Flexite.

Valplast® Removable Partial Dentures

Flexible partial dentures can be a comfortable, beautiful, and affordable choice. It was long thought that removable partial dentures had to be rigid to be effective. The innovation of the Valplast® Flexible Partial allows the restoration to adapt to the constant movement and flexibility in your mouth. In many cases, heavy, bulky, unsightly metal frameworks can be eliminated!

This is the underlying thinking behind Valplast’s innovative flexible, removable partial denture. The flexibility, combined with strength and lightweight, provides total comfort, and great looks!

Unlike with conventional metal-based partial dentures, your natural teeth don’t need to be altered in any way. The Valplast® partial is virtually invisible because there are no telltale metal clasps and the material itself blends with the tissue in your mouth so that the only thing that shows is your beautiful smile.

Dr. Alfe only needs to take impressions of your upper and lower jaws, match up tooth shape, size, and color and take a bite registration and you are on your way to comfortably replacing your missing teeth!

When considering a removable partial, many people find the Valplast® Flexible Partial to be the most comfortable option, and this partial denture can be made very quickly; usually within 2-3 weeks from start to finish. While the cost may be higher than a partial made with visible metal clasps, the results of the flexible partial are beautiful, and patient satisfaction is very high. The Valplast® flexible partial involves only non-invasive procedures, and gives you confidence in your restoration while talking, eating, and smiling.

 

Flexite Plus Removable Partial Dentures

Flexite Plus is easy to finish and polish, making adjustments easy for Dr. Alfe.

Flexite Plus is unbreakable. (Now, this claim is straight off the company’s website! Personally, Dr. Alfe has not had one break yet.)

Flexite Plus can be added to and relined while the patient is in Dr. Alfe’s chair. Because of this, it is ideal for patients who are wearing partials during the healing phase after dental implant placements. Also, if you have had a number of teeth removed a long time ago, there could be bone loss and if you have bone grafting done, the Flexite partial can be easily adjusted to fit the new contours of your mouth.

Flexite plastics are Color Stable. Dr. Alfe and her team can easily remove stains with pumice when you are in for your hygiene or follow up visits.

Choice of three pink colors for Flexite Plus: Light Pink, Dark Pink and Translucent Pink.

Choice of three ethnic shades for Flexite Plus: Ethnic Brown, Ethnic Purple and Coe Ethnic Moderate.
