Aqualizer® splint

Unlike traditional hard or soft plastic or acrylic splints, the Aqualizer® splint uses a revolutionary fluid system to relax the chewing muscles and reposition the jaw. Often with TMJ pain, the muscles are in disharmony and exert uneven and excessive forces on the jaws. The Aqualizer® fluid splint stabilizes the muscles automatically and naturally.

The Aqualizer® works because the enclosed liquid in the soft splint applies equalized pressure, regardless of where the pressure is applied. When you bite down on the Aqualizer®, your bite force is evened out, reducing TMJ pressure and pain. This is especially effective when the patient is suffering from an acute episode of TMJ pain or has had their jaw lock in an open or closed position. There are 6 different types of Aqualizer® splints, which means that one should work for you.
